Review of Michael Moore in TrumpLand (2016) by Aaron W — 27 Oct 2016
Im a big fan of Michael Moore. One of my hero voices with whom I agree with him on nearly everything. But this was a really flat effort, a mix between trying to do a stand up comedy routine and be an evangilist for Hillary Clinton at the same time. Watching the begining I was expecting a cringeworthy listing of the fallacy of the Trump brand, there is little here if you are a Trump voter to convince you why you should reconsider and a as democrat little to motivate you to action..
The pre-done sketches are cringeworthy lame. Typically I come away from a MM movie with an anger at the injustice in the system, but after watching this my only anger was the $4.99 I wasted on it.
Read his twitter feeds, they are much more entertaining and incitefull than this which felt like somehting haphazardly thrown together without much thought to what it was to accomplish.
Where as his documentaries usually point out hypocrisy with clever.
