Review of Michael Clayton (2007) by Kyle B — 03 Jan 2012
George Clooney stars as Michael Clayton, a situation fixer at one of the largest Law firms in New York City. The storyis rittled with clues that make it difficult to catch each one, but with some close attention the film becomes an entertaining thriller. The plot revolves around an out of court settlement pertaining to pesticides that had killed a large sum of people. The story also follows Tom Wilkinson's character, a genius lawyer and mentally unstable friend of Clooney's, who has put the whole case in jeopardy.
I must admit that the film does in fact deserve multiple viewings, in order to catch every detail. I believe the saturation of story details becomes the big flaw with this film, but the acting is of course oscar worthy.
Michael Clayton is a definite recommended watch, but only in a situation that you can assure yourself total concentration.
