Review of Michael Clayton (2007) by Matt R — 16 Apr 2012
There is a scene, the kitchen scene, and if you have seen it you will know why I mention it, where three actors just revel in their craft. The husband hit a jogger and is looking for an escape from Clooney's character, who is a fixer for a law firm.
The husband, played by the superlative Denis O'Hare, melts down with the aid of his wife who is not willing to support his fictions, all the while Clooney is the rock against which these waves are breaking.
It is everything you want in a movie. And this movie has Tom Wilkinson, Sydney Pollack, Tilda Swinton... what more could you ask for?
