Review of Michael (2011) by Paul J — 13 Oct 2011
This accomplished and daring film is masterfully made. It naturally evokes Haneke as well as Bresson. It's non-exploitative and remarkable non-judgmental. The story unfolds with clinical precision and the shots are frighteningly accurate.
This is an important film made at the right time. The performances are impeccable and the film takes its time. We're left gasping and most importantly of all, discussing, long after the film is over.
