Review of Miami Vice (2006) by Jonb. — 11 Jan 2007
Accusations of style over substance may be levelled here, but does that not hark back to the series? Style fairly oozes out of every pore here, Farrell and Foxx pose and posture with gusto, and Mann paints each scene with the brush of an artist, using enough vibrant images to paper over the odd plot hole here and there.
A gourmet visual feast, but not a lot more.
