I'd read the good review in the globe so went to see; in the first five minutes, I was like "the acting is horrible!". I wasn't the only one, cuz throughout the movie the audience was laughing at farrell's badly delivered & cheesy lines.

if the actor or mann had been in the theatre, they would've burst into flames. in addtion to bad acting, there were huge problems w/the plot--why does he involve himself with the drug dealer's chick? this is a highly experienced cop.

.. no way would he jeopradise his undercover role... etc etc. last point: in the movie farrel looks like a cowboy hustler in a low-budget porn-- which basically somes up the level of his acting. especially the extra-husky goofly low voice he uses.

.. what's that all about? destined to parodied by SNL, etc.
