I never planned on watching this movie, but my Italian teacher kind of made me. Anyways, the movie is about a movie director who has a hospitalized mother. That's about it. Yeah, the movie isn't interesting at all.

It can get really boring the more you watch and despite the story sounding sad, it really isn't. The sad parts aren't done very well and the characters aren't developed enough for you to care for them.

The actors do their job okay. Some of the acting is cringe worthy (John Turturro's acting can sometimes be very awkward). The cinematography is okay, The movie doesn't look stylish or unique in any way, it's just sort of, generic for this kind of a movie.

I'm not the biggest fan of "tearjerker" movies, especially when their whole plot depends on a death of character which you see coming from the minute the movie opens. It's predictable, boring, uninteresting and overall underwhelming.

I can't really recommend this movie.
