A wonderfully witty love story, set within the social milieu of the up-and-coming Manhattan jet set. Stillman's dialogue is wry, intelligent, and deeply observant of highbrow social mores. Eigeman's Nick is the highlight of the movie as a rakish, fast-talking preppie who takes the protagonist under his wing.
