Review of Metropolitan (1990) by Jonathan M — 15 Dec 2009
This felt like it followed a main character who was a neutered Charles Highway from Amis's "The Rachel Papers" in a neutered plot from Brett Easton Ellis' "Less than Zero" all filtered through bad Woody Allen.
It has its moments, but teen dramas like this always seem to border on insecurities and anxieties that are often insufferable even at their most authentic.
