Review of Metallica: Through the Never (2013) by Erik B — 24 Sep 2013

I'm not sure if this movie works as a whole, but for what it is it's a hell of a lot of fun. The concert looks and sounds incredible, especially in IMAX 3D. The story is okay at best, but in the grand scheme of things it's not something you're really gonna remember.

Not to discredit the fantastic silent performance from Dane Dehaan, who is honestly one of the best actors working in Hollywood PERIOD, but the whole story just feels a bit half baked. Still though, the concert alone is worth seeing, in the biggest and loudest theatre you can find.
