As James Hetfield would say: "Through the NEVAAHHHH!!" lol.

For the most part, this movie/concert is awesome!!!!!! If you have the chance to spend a few extra bucks and see this in IMAX, do it! Basically, though, this film bounces back and forth between the Metallica concert and this young dude played by Dane DeHaan and all the situations he finds himself in as he ventures through the city to run an errand for one of the band's technicians. The best parts of the movie are when Metallica is on screen. I don't care what flavor of Metallica fan you are; if you like the old, the new, or all of Metallica, it doesn't matter, you NEED TO SEE this absolutely beautifully shot, in your face, balls to the wall live performance and all the great stage effects that go with it (especially in IMAX, this show is so immersive and so loud, it's awesome!). However, despite the good things, there were two problems I have with this film: 1) it has no ending, no real conclusion to wrap things up, and 2) there's one particular item that's built up consistently throughout the entire movie, but, spoilers, it's never revealed (without even giving a hint). If you see the movie, you'll see what I mean. Not giving any clues as to what the item could be is a real letdown because then, the item has no real purpose in the film and becomes a waste of time. I can't say much more without giving anything away except that this item has to do with a bag. All in all, seeing Metallica on the big screen in such a well-shot film and performing this awesome of a show is something every flavor of Metallica fan will want to see......trust me.
