Review of Metallica: Through the Never (2013) by Epik_Ninnja — 24 May 2015
Metallica is considered one of the greatest rock bands of all time for a reason. They simply kick *** and it's on display with all of their songs in this movie. Master of Puppets is pure insane rock. One is an epic masterpiece of soft rock and dark lyrics, and the even darker lyrics followed by an ulta-intense instrumental second half.
Nothing Else Matters has deep lyrics and...well, all the songs are good. Anyways, the movie itself is a cool experiment and all but it isn't a masterpiece. Unexplained action sequences and whatnot are more entertaining than just watching the band the whle time, but this ultimately doesn't functionwell as a movie.
As a concert movie, which I'm not a big fan of, it's great, I suppose. Well, watch it for the music but don't expect the entire package to exceed being "good.
