Review of Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (2005) by Alat Ariel A — 09 Mar 2009
It was the best documentary on Metal. It uncovers the evolution of rock towards it present offspring metal music. How many sibling did it had, married with which type of music and had what type of offspring.
Some metal head already knew this stuff, but not on this very broad scale where every metal sub-genre were covered. Maybe the categorization would not agree on some metal heads yet this were the things metalhead knew and accept.
The most controversial would be on the question of the originator of metal. Anyway it was a cool perspective, as a metalhead this was the closes thing to a real intellectual metal documentary.
