This chooses not to simply give you a chronological history of the genre, but instead looks at various aspects of metal music and culture in turn. It's a move that really pays off. Interviews range from young fans to musical experts to the biggest names in metal, and they are never biased in any way.

Some are perfectly intelligent people, a few are complete fools. Overall a highly engrossing and informative doc. You don't have to be a metal fan to enjoy it (I'm not), and while it won't make you like metal, it might just make you respect it a little.
