Review of Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 (2008) by Larsweb 2 — 05 Jun 2009
The sequel to the first part without any delay or change. Mesrine's 24/7 criminal life left little to think over, because there is a non stop action, with all the twist and turns. The camera work, music, atmosphere is same as in the first which in normal.
The second part shows the last years of Mesrine's where he struggles to find his reason for his actions, swaying between social revolution and hedonism...Cassel made his part brilliant and this movie is one of his best ones.
An excellent movie, a homework for the "animation" crazy Hollywood.
