Its a lot more hectic and a faster pace than part 1 (in the first hr Mesrine escapes prison/court 3 times, crashes his car 3 times and robs god knows how many banks). It also explores how deluded and self centered he is thinking of himself as a revolutionary when he is nothing more than a gangster.
Like the first its flawlessly directed and Vincent Cassel in the lead is simply dynamite.
