Review of Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 (2008) by Stella D — 23 Feb 2010
This part is practically non stop action, full of daring escapades of the charismatic gangster's later career. cassell becomes almost unrecognizable with a pot belly, wigs and facial hair and he is a force throughout.
at nearly 4 hours between the 2 parts, the film doesn't seem to drag much at all. I know it was the 70's but seeing the character try to justify his crimes with radical politics was funny. overall well done.
