Review of Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 (2008) by Dave L — 16 Mar 2010
Slightly lacking in pace as the first installment and not as engaging. The prison escapes and bank heists are all entertaining enough but after they're finished there's not a lot in between. Cassel still brings his charm and presence to the screen which helps carry the film along but ultimately there seems to be something lacking which the first film had in bounds.
