Part 2 confirms the problems that were evident in Part 1 yet weren't as detracting from the experience in that film. The film feels more like a collection of scenes featuring Mesrine than a continual character study.
Here's his new girlfriend, here's his new partner in crime. I suppose it is a testament to Mesrine that he managed to live this lifestyle for so long. I didn't feel the film explored his political motivations enough.
