Review of Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 (2008) by Cisco T — 20 Jun 2011
If Jacques Mesrine was Superman, and he was locked up behind kryptonite-coated bars, it still wouldn't hold him. He would break out and have the biggest smile on his face. Mesrine always said that a jail cell could never hold him, for he would find a way out, and he always did.
There is only one way of truly trapping Mesrine...and that's under unfortunate circumstances. Part 2 is a continuation of his life of high-crime and how he became the public enemy no. 1. Action-filled gun fights and car chases, and a suspenseful ending, combine to make a very pleasing film.
