Outstanding documentary with amazing photography of the Himalayas. This trio fails in their first attempt to climb the sheer face of the fabled and unconquered "Shark's Fin" of Mount Meru.
Afterwards, two of them barely survive mountain climbing accidents (one of them suffering a severe skull fracture.) But the dream of being the first to climb the FIn compels them back to Meru. This is a marvelous demonstration of will, persistence, grit, determination, a little insanity and a whole lot of guts.
The filming of their actual climb is simply breathtaking.
