Adapted form the Seed and the Sower by Laurens Van Der Post and bouyed by high class performances from David Bowie and Ryuichi Sakamoto, however the real starhere is Tom Conti who plays the enigmatic japenese interpreter Mr Lawrence, fabulous soundtrack particularly "Forbidden Colours" by David Sylvian.
