Review of Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983) by Mario B — 13 Feb 2008
Ryuichi Sakamoto acts like a "new wave make-up" japaneese commander also Bowie in his "Young Americans" era, with his distintive haircut, making difficult to separe the actors from their roles.
Best scene: The end with Takeshi Kitano saying "Merry Xmas Mr. Lawrence". The soundtrack is superb. Exists one version of the self titled soundtrack with lyrics, singed by the lead singer of Japan, David Sylvian called "Forbidden Colours".
