Here's a scary thought... Winona Ryder & Johnny Depp were dating when this movie was released, and Christina Ricci played Winona's younger sister. Fast forward 9 years to Sleepy Hollow and Christina Ricci plays Johnny Depp's love interest... Creepy!
As for Mermaids, it isn't a bad film. The acting is quite good. But I remember it more for Cher's cover of "The Shoop Shoop Song" rather than the movie itself.
