Review of Mermaids (1990) by Cancelled U — 17 Aug 2010
I was actually mistaken to think this movie is about mermaids. Its about a single mother played by Cher who moved to another city when ever her love life sense a trouble, and her two girls ain't happy about it. Sounds familiar? but its not like now days movie. Its a romance of course, but more of a family film for me. The relationship between Cher and Winona as mom and daughter was really good, and Ryder's character was hilarious, yes hilarious! Its nice to see 10 years old Christina Ricci on her debut film. Not bad at all.
