Review of Mercury Rising (1998) by Tristan G — 12 Dec 2007
A little autistic boy discovers a secret government code in his work books and this sets off a series of action scenes in a film that is still able to maintain a strong human connection, good pacing, and some very creative plot elements.
I found this to be a great film that almost could have been lesser if not for the strong performance of Miko Hughes as the kid. It's a very believable and heartfelt performance that really gives this film a little bit more than it usually would deserve.
It's a solid action film that I can easily recommend.
