Review of Mercury Rising (1998) by Corey B — 22 Jun 2010

Mercury Rising puts all its money on a plot with a big gaping hole right at its center. Why are they trying to kill this kid? Yes..yes..because he can read a code, but uh....if he's got a mind that can read our top secret codes, doesn't that mean he can maybe decipher the enemy's secret codes as well.

But it doesn't really matter, it's just a lame setup for a chase movie that lingers in the realm of cliche. Completely mediocre all around, although the cast is surprisingly good.
