With Bruce Willis, he seems to disgrace every brilliant film he is in with a bad one like this. For every Die Hard and Pulp Fiction, there's a Mercury Rising. Mercury Rising is a tired Thriller, that tries desperately to be both smart and intense.

Because it tries to do both, it fails to develop either one properly. Willis I feel is a decent actor. When he has a good script and director behind him, he knocks the performance out of the park. Mercury Rising is one of his off performances.

Alec Baldwin I thought played a decent role; if not a little too underdeveloped. We got to see him as a menacing villain, but he seemed a bit stock at times. The portrayal of the child I didn't like.

I grew up with some Autistic children, and I'm still friends with them today. Just because they were autistic, didn't mean that they acted robotic like in this film. I never really bought into it, which is the big problem with the film.
