Review of Méphisto (1931) by Douglas Edward C — 20 Apr 2009
A great performance by Brandauer as the actor who would do anything to keep fame/fortune, including becoming the Nazi party's lap dog. A really well written story, well acted and directed but I didn't get into it.
Maybe I watched it on the wrong day or something. It could also be 20 minutes shorter, especially with those scenes int he beginning where Brandauer is acting all goofy with his mistress. Awesome ending though.
