Review of Mental (2012) by Borhan K — 10 Aug 2014
Mental a quirky dramatic comedy about a mum with several daughters and a cheating politician hubby. The movie is a different Aussie glick that makes you smile and giggle.
It shows us what does the word normal really mean what maybe normal to you and me can be seen as abnormal.
Toni Collette puts in a magnificent performance and so does Anthony LaPaglia & Rebecca Gibney.
This is lots of fun I enjoyed it. Aussie cinema at its funniest.
It has a Sound of Music Theme to it it will make you giggle when you seen Rebecca Gibney sing "Climb Every Mountain".
Give it ago you will like it.
Not suitable for the kiddies.
The mental health issues discussed in the movie can be a tad over the heads of the small ones.
If your a fan of Sound of Music and like it when other movies take the mickey out of it you will find this movie funny. lol.
