Review of Menace II Society (1993) by Brittany E — 02 Feb 2008
Another great L.A. hood film. A very dark depiction of gang life in Southern California with a lot of realistic aspects. I sort of think this film portrayed gang life a bit too broad and stereotypical, making it almost look "easy", however the finale tied up those ends to complete this movie as a good representation.
Until the end, can't say it's all too realistic, but does contain a lot of realistic aspects that raises hard questions about low income society.
