Men, Women & Children is a film that intertwines a load of different storylines to make a statement on the negative and potentially positive impacts of the internet on modern society. The film doesn't work because it doesn't do anything new or interesting with this concept, and despite it's admittedly large scope, it's a very simplistic in terms of what it has to say.

The stories in the film are incredibly derivative, and they all feel unsatisfying because the film has no focus, it's to busy showing off how many stories and characters it has rather then actually taking the time to dig deep into them.

I think it's lazy and even kind of condescending how the film uses narration to convey ideas and characters feelings and also how it uses extreme cases of the situations it deals with rather than aiming for realism.

However, as much as I'm hating on this movie, it's definitely not unwatchable; the cast is actually pretty good, the way it visually presented things like texts and websites is quite cool and I was personally never bored by the film unlike many others were.

Overall, I don't think it's quite as terrible as some people are making it out to be, but I do think it's a huge disappointment considering the director, concept and cast.
