Review of Men, Women & Children (2014) by Heather M — 31 Jan 2015
Jason Reitman's Men, Women & Children is a good movie, but hard to sit through. I do like where it's going, but it kept reminding me of Disconnect a bit which is better than this. The acting is great, and it's really nice to see Adam Sandler act in a drama film again than his comedy movies.
It felt like the movie was trying to be funny by making it quirky, although some of it were funny, it was was too quirky and just come by as awkward. The characters are good, except for Jennifer Garner's character who frustrated me so much and just hated that character.
The drama in it worked for me, and the stories are not bad. It is Jason Reitman's least liked movie so far, but it's still a good movie that might give lessons to some people.
