I don't see why a movie has to try an make a statement with each character, not all the characters in this film were great but not all of them were bad. It was an enjoyable film with several relatable aspects for teens. Technology is not going to **** you up forever, but sometimes it has consequences, I feel that that was a very obvious message. Sure it took on a few to many topics to deal with in such little time, perhaps a two part movie would have been better.

Most of the performances were great, the writing was also good. This is a good movie for a younger audience.
