Cuba Gooding Jr. wants to become the U.S. Navy's first African-American master diver in this true story. He starts out as a cook where blacks are usually kept but his ambition and courage takes him higher than anyone expected a black to go in the navy.
He faced much racism and they really tried to force him to quit or fail the training but he wouldn't do either...DeNiro plays his drill Sargent and mentor and done a great job...Great movie no boring spots all the way through.
