Review of Men in Black: International (2019) by Miccael — 29 Jul 2019
The problem with the movie is that they forgot what made original MIB movies good. The aliens weren't supposed to be out there in the public, not disguising themselves, because otherwise they would not be allowed to exist. This was a missed opportunity and I fear things aren't going to get better anytime with more MIB movies.
I did not like the "it's 2019, we should not say men in black only, there are women there too" approach shoved into us couple of times, you can make a joke but it's becoming so tiring hearing old franchises crapped on in modern times because they had maybe sexist (?) titles. I mean they treat agent M like she is the first woman in MIB. No, we had woman member at the end of original franchise with Will Smith (way better at acting as MIB than Chris Hemsworth, sorry). Movie had potential but they blew it with changing the lore and logic of MIB.
