Review of Men in Black II (2002) by Anna M — 05 Jul 2011
Men in Black II loses a lot of its charm and humor in this second reinstallment of the series. Allthough they attempt to make the character of Tommy Lee Jones more interesting, it ultimately results in boring scenes and failed humor.
The action scenes are not quite as good as the previous movie, and the scenes that do work are just scenes almost rehashed from the previous. Next, the humor seems more desperate than the original, making for a lot of face-palm moments.
Finally, the annoying-talking-dog-comic-relief really gets on my nerves and makes me wish I was watching the first movie. When you get down to it, Men In Black II fails to be as good as the original, no matter how hard it tries.
