Review of Men in Black II (2002) by Abel D — 02 Jun 2014
Sloppier and less focused, the second 'MIB' suffers from trying to do too much in too little time. The plot feels like a jumbled mess of ideas for sequels, and never fully flows as a smooth narrative.
However, the same strengths as last time remain:. Sonnenfeld's strong directing, Smith & Jones' dynamite chemistry, and of course, Rick Baker's practical effects wizardry.
