Review of Men in Black II (2002) by Daniel A — 05 Nov 2011
Too similar to its predecessor to be great, yet at the same time still good fun for evoking more of what we enjoyed so much in the original. Men In Black II has everything you remember from the first, only without the freshness that came with the genuinely impressive debut.
Smith and Jones are still a solid combo, and the addition of a more endearing female lead in Rosario Dawson is a step in the right direction, but despite bigger spectacle the spark here is notably dimmer.
You're probably better off revisiting the original again to be honest.
