Men in Black 3 is better than the the second, but lacks the charm of the original. Agent J travels back in time to save K and the world from extermination. The plot is a decent "find the alien and kill it before it kills everyone", but the deeper elements that Sonnenfeld tries to capture are weakly portrayed.
Conversations about Agent J's father fall flat and distract from the plot. I enjoyed the acting, especially Josh Brolin and his portrayal of Tommy Lee Jones--it is eerie how similar they seem. Some characters were overplayed while greater characters were underplayed.
It really had a lot of potential but Men in Black 3 just didn't grasp the greatness.
