Review of Men in Black 3 (2012) by Patrick K — 04 Feb 2014
15 years after Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones introduced us to Agent J and Agent K, MiB3 provides far fewer, funny alien creatures than its 1997 blockbuster. Instead, this film relies mostly on heavy doses of a younger Agent K (played brilliantly by Josh Brolin).
Making a threequel that is as good or better than its original is a difficult task (notable exceptions include "Goldfinger", "Die Hard: With A Vengeance" and "Toy Story 3") and MiB3 couldn't pass muster.
The movie's pace is so slow that I found myself wishing Agent J had used the Neuralyzer to erase my memory. I look forward to a MiB4 with the same excitement as Rocky 7 or a root canal. Grade: C.
