Review of Men in Black 3 (2012) by Danny O — 28 Sep 2014
MIB 3 is an entertaining and fun ride. It may not reach the heights of the original, but it makes for a fun thrill ride and a welcome return to the franchise. Smith and Jones impress again as partner agents, but Josh Brolin is a real standout as young agent K.
For the first 20 minutes, I was a little disappointed, and thought I knew exactly how the movie was going to play out. However, it takes some fun turns, making this film better than I thought it would be.
There is hit or miss humor, but for the most part, I laughed. The villain is very weak, not getting a lot more to do than snarling "I'm evil". The cast does a fine job, and the film's climax is very interesting and satisfying.
It's not great on any level, but I was thoroughly entertained. Men in Black lll gets 3/5 stars (B-).
