Review of Men in Black 3 (2012) by Brandon W — 09 Dec 2014
Men In Black is exactly what I thought it was going to be, a great film but not as good as the first movie. The first 20 minutes of the movie were terrible and were really forceful in the jokes. The effects are good, but some of them look odd though.
But when it gets to the 1960s, that's when it starts getting really good. The jokes are back to being really funny, Will Smith is really good, while Josh Brolin is one of the surprising highlights in the movie.
The chemistry between them are still just as great as the first movie. Although the actor portraying the villain is good, but the villain is not that memorable and is just really silly. It doesn't show him that much in the movie to distract me which I was fine with.
The time travel premise seems actually refreshing, even though some of it I felt like they weren't even trying. After many years sense the second movie, it may not be the movie we were waiting for, but Men In Black 3 is a step up from the second movie.
