Review of Men in Black 3 (2012) by Henry G — 02 Mar 2016
Enjoyable and a fun twist on the franchise especially the original although at times it was a bit overly campy for my taste it kept true to the over all ridiculously fun and adventurous tone these films are known for.
Though not nearly preceding in quality over the first installment (maybe the second since no bad joke spewing Johnny Knoxville involved) but delivers it own heart warming thrill ride filled with the strangest aliens (my favorite being Bill Hader's Andy Warhol) and crazy gadgets we love to expect (including a time traveling one duh!).
Josh Brolin nails Tommy Lee Jones's demeanor as agent K and Will Smith and his famous (press the red button) yell are back to head this adventure to save earth and K's existence by going back in time.
I appreciated that the story still gives Agent J a pivotal role to play in the past that links to both their future. Will smith is hilarious as usual but it doesn't completely make up for the at times cheesy script and special effects.
The adventure is still all in all worth while and wraps the trilogy up nicely.
