Review of Men in Black (1934) by Matthew F — 27 Nov 2012
A big budget comedy that remembered it's funny, unlike the director's next film. This is very funny, also some elements like somewhat flat characters actually make this film better, because they are the "Men in Black" and they are supposed to have no personality.
It has a lot of interesting alien designs and the two main actors have great chemistry. This is the beginning of a franchise that has so much potential to be my perfect film type. It isn't without its flaws though.
For example, I thought it could have been more colorful. It seems kind of dark for a camp fun fest. Even though it had so much potential, I do wish it could have been more.
