Review of Memories of Murder (2003) by Michael A Elkana F — 08 Feb 2010
Neat. Gripping. Intense. The best movie about serial murder, I love Zodiac which is Fincher's best film, but this is like ten times better than that, and will put Silence of the Lambs to shame. Perfect mix of comedy that's placed at the right time, with effective thrills.
At the end it's also a tale about obsession of every police and detective involved. That last scene takes my breath away, as I made my mind that from all 3 films of Bong i've seen, I can safely say he's one of the best living auteurs now.
