Review of Memories of Murder (2003) by David Ray G — 30 Jul 2010
Kang-ho Song - you mental case! I swear his performance in this was shockingly amazing. And the screenplay, oh the screenplay! The way the characters were presented, the sick humor it had, the twists and turns and ups and downs.
My only problem with it is that it rather dragged on - it was a little more than 2 hours long, but it felt as though it lasted much more. The fact that this is based on a true story makes it all the more unbelievable (if that's possible...).
A great example of the excellence of modern Korean cinema.
