Review of Memories of Murder (2003) by Mikey R — 04 Nov 2010
A brilliant mystery crime thriller. The fact that it's based on a true story serves as both a positive and negative; Chilling as you know the nature of the killing (peaches..) is from a real life portrayal, yet disappointing to know at the back of your mind after the 2hr10min of runtime, we still won't know who the killer is.
. None the less this is an enthralling detective film from my joint 2nd Korean Director (par with Ji-Woon Kim, under Park Chan-Wook).
