Review of Memories of Murder (2003) by Joe G — 07 Nov 2010
A really great Korean thriller based on true events. This movie, along with many others including mother and peppermint candy, do a great job in showing the problems with the korean police system. The scenes of abductions are very well done, with one in particular being memorable.
There are also a few generally shocking scenes you really don't expect happening and I loved the relationship between the cops and the detective. Everyone gives a solid performance, with one of my favorite actors Song Kang-ho being a stand out.
If you like crime thrillers like "Silence of the lambs" definitely check this one out.
