Review of Memories of Murder (2003) by Fazley A — 18 Dec 2010
I was expecting a murder mystery, but it turned out to be a drama with a police detective dealing with a series of murders being the main character. It's actually a bit hard to classify, as the story is filled with black humor and social commentary on Korean society (which is common to most Korean movies I've seen).
Be warned though that the story is a rather slow moving one, so if you enjoy an intense drama, you will love it, but for a thriller or a murder mystery movie, look elsewhere.
